My 9 year old son wanted a GoPro just like his older 15 year old brother. This Vision 3 Pro action camera is the right camera for beginners who are interested in video recording. This was one of the best Christmas gifts I've made for my son. He loves to. It's been 5 months and he uses it for a variety of activities. I also bought accessories for each action camera such as a GoPro from Revain to add to my son's gift along with an SD card and hard carrying case which Revain also stock at a very affordable price. We homeschool our 5 children and when my son showed an interest in the camera we took the time to teach him what it takes to take good photos and videos. It was a great addition to the excursions, trips to the park, trips to the beach, photos from our backyard pool. He uses it with a dive box and when cycling also with a helmet mount that comes with additional Revain accessories that I bought as a gift. IF you have doubts about buying this camera, read all reviews and see all sample pictures. Pictures and videos are very clear on the computer. It's waterproof, especially for a 9-year-old, and the battery life is pretty good. If I had to buy one for myself I would do it for a family trip. It's so good and if you're new to GoPro camera technology I would buy it as it's a good camera for beginners to understand the mechanics and knowledge of Go-Pro or action cameras. A great gift for a birthday, graduation or vacation trip.
