I was skeptical, turned out great

I was quite skeptical about buying such a cheap GPS, but I got a good review about it from a friend, so I decided to give it a try. Overall I was very satisfied - it's easy enough to use once you read the instructions. When you first turn it on it can take 1-2 minutes to get a signal at first, but after that it's pretty reliable - I just turn it on for a few minutes before I go. Works via GPS, so no tire magnets or wiring are required. Charging via micro USB which is fine although I would have preferred USB-CI, have been using it for a few months now and have tested its accuracy on google maps several times. It's always pretty close. Most recently I drove almost 3 hours, mostly with a fresh charge. In the end, his battery light blinked amber instead of red, and the signal went dead exactly once, just for a few seconds. It ended up showing 30.30 miles and the same ride on Google Maps was 30.42 miles. I'm very happy with this level of accuracy, especially considering the google map distance is likely to have some errors as well. The device itself records current speed, average speed per ride, maximum speed per ride, distance per ride, distance since first use, ride time, ride time in motion, and the current time. You can save any ride to memory if you want, which will save the top speed, average speed, distance and, I believe, time of that ride. This is not a navigation GPS at all.
