Review on πŸ’₯ Powerful XtremepowerUS 2200Watt Electric Demolition Concrete Breaker by Chris Moody

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This tool does what it's supposed to do very well

I used this to demolish about 60 feet of concrete paving in our backyard and originally planned to rent a full blown jackhammer to do the job to do. . But given the size of the job and how long we would have to rent it to complete the job as there would also be another 3 or 400 square foot patio, I decided to purchase this tool instead. There's a fairly steep but thankfully short learning curve if you've never used anything like this before, and I'm happy to report that this product works for the 4" to 5" thick concrete we're demonstrating have worked very well. And the longer I used it, the faster I was able to get through each section. The three important things I've learned are that 1) you don't have to use much of your own weight to break through it, and so doing just makes you tired a lot quicker 2) when topping up with oil (we used 5w-30 motor oil) it doesn't take long for the gauge to show it correctly i found i used the plastic oil bottle provided to do that soaking up oil a few times only to pull it back when I thought I'd added a good amount, and 3) the chisel blade worked much, much better at slab-breaking than the sharpened one. I actually only used the pointed blade for the first section, and because the point of contact is so small, I found that when breaking the concrete, the blade becomes pinched or wedged in the surrounding concrete, requiring a lot more energy to get out of the crack to come out . Overall I think this tool worked very well and assuming it didn't break before we removed the rest of the concrete it was a great investment and a lot cheaper than it would have cost to hire it multiple times. Owning gives me the freedom to work when I want without having to worry about the time constraints that come with renting.
