The motor will burn out if you hold it too long

Mine worked for two days and then wouldn't start. It was fully charged and I even tried starting it while it was plugged in. I read the booklet that came with it and it said that running it for more than 4 hours could burn out the motor. You should be able to keep the fan running ALL DAY! I returned mine and received a refund.
