They fit nicely on the KLR 650 (pictured) and are transparent around the master cylinder and throttle cables. They offer slightly less hand protection than the slightly more expensive JFG Racing guards, which I also bought on another KLR as the plastic guards are smaller, but they protect the levers and throttle if the bike falls. They're not as good as the more expensive brands, but for the low $20 price point, this is very good value. Two things that could be improved: (1) The "universal" clamp for the inner handlebar is large enough to clamp a 1-1/8" handlebar, but the smaller diameter handlebars use plastic Spacers to take up extra space. They don't clamp as securely as full metal clamps and twist a little when the handlebars hit the ground. Then they have to be aligned. Since over 90% of handlebars are 7/8" in diameter, they should have a 7/8" clamp and a separate 1" or 1-1/8" clamp. (2) The flare nut that fits into the end of the rod that holds the outer end of the guard is too small. You need to tighten it to take up the extra slack. A more precise fit would have helped secure the shields better. But in general they work adequately and for the price they are very cheap.
