Works for dachshunds!

My dachshund Princess recently had surgery to remove several benign growths on her hind leg and abdomen that were bothering her. My vet recommended that she wear a baby bodysuit to avoid wearing a "cone of shame", but the bodysuit was not suitable for her body type (long and broad chested). I've searched the internet for various recovery suits to find one that works for dachshunds. The princess is about 16 inches long and weighs about 14 pounds (she has a big belly due to Cushing's disease). The measurement chart says she takes a large size based on her bust and length, but she usually wears a medium size with sweaters so I was worried about getting the wrong size. Luckily I saw that someone answered the question on this list. and they said they had a dog like a princess in length and weight. The person recommended a medium size so I bought this one. It turned out to be perfect for a princess and she still has a bit of wiggle room, which helps a lot because she's always on the move. The back is opened just enough for her to use the bathroom whenever she wants. I was surprised that the buttons on the top are very tight and not very easy to undo, which also helps since the princess is very active. A few times she managed to get out of her shirt by putting her hands through the hole in her neck, so I put her straps on to make sure they stayed in place. The suit is very soft and can be washed. I was able to put it in the dryer without noticing any signs of shrinkage. I think the overall quality of this suit is very good and worth the price.
