Scotch Brite vs. Clorox System

I finally bit the bullet and tried this Scotch Brite Stick after years of using Clorox disposables. Clorox disposables have always been a nuisance due to the pad rotating during cleaning, especially under the rim. Their pads even broke off the stick when cleaning, and the holder became unwieldy. The design of this Scotch Bright Stick is way better in "almost" every way. The pad stays in place, does not rotate and contains a lot of detergent. In addition, the curved pad shape makes it easier to clean under the rim, and the base of the wand holder is also thinner. Unfortunately, the texture of the pad's surface is too hard, so it takes multiple passes to clean it, and sometimes it doesn't fully clean under the rim at all. I'm not talking about the overall stiffness of the pad - that's not the issue as it's much stronger than Corox pads. The texture seems to be the problem. It's like brushing with uneven plastic instead of a sponge, which is odd because Scotch Brite makes the best sponges! I will say they are better than the toilet brush which requires a lot of effort to fully touch every part of the surface. tends to splatter from time to time and is inconvenient to store. But tape pads don't clean the surface as quickly as chlorox pads.
