I wasn't expecting high quality for the price but I thought it would be enough to convert my old vinyl records to MP3 files. My first impression was that the built-in speakers were a bit stiff, but I was waiting to hear a song ripped to MP3. Unfortunately, the metallic quality was reproduced very well, but still not enough for MP3 listening. So I tried running the player through my 1971 Sansui receiver and the quality was terrible! I packed it up and sent it back. Based on the reviews I think you need to spend over $150 to get a decent turntable, so I decided to fix my recently broken 1971 Garrard 1000 turntable ($50) and get an RCA to HDMI converter ($25?) to buy to copy and transfer the vinyls. We look forward to every suggestion!
