I had some doubts but so far it's working. After about a week, the dogs began to recognize boundaries even without a collar. It was easy to set up and install. We made it from start to finish in a few hours. We didn't bury the wire but ran along the yard/curb and used garden spikes to keep us in place. **We wanted to try using non-strike collars. Our girls managed it but needed some reinforcements but didn't want to take advantage of the shock. I emailed the company and got a quick response that all I had to do was replace the metal pins with plastic pins. Unfortunately, I think I threw away the plastic box. The company immediately offered to send me replacements for both of my collars. Excellent customer service
