Determined to try the XB43. Man I wasn't disappointed. It has good sound quality, great bass (even my friends praised the bass for a portable speaker), and amazing battery life. A plus. The lighting effects are very cool. I also saw a built in party mode and stereo speaker options (had no idea when I first bought it). Well, I decided to bite the bullet and get another one. Not disappointed. general. I set both up in stereo speaker mode. And together they really create a stereo feel - better than some of the regular speakers I've had. In this mode, all the light effects are synchronized and perform the same actions (just in case you're interested). The battery life is quite long. although I've noticed that it drains a little faster when using the extras (don't worry, you've got plenty of hours before you even worry about needing a top-up). The speakers also let you plug and charge, and act as a power bank (or an extra USB outlet if you're charging). The only downside I noticed is the extra bass. Sometimes it's TOO redundant when you want the music to be quiet. At times it can sound like a car rumbles out of the bass in silence. But it usually happens in songs that overdo the bass (think EDM and the like). Most of the time everything is perfect - and not enough to affect my rating of the product. If you are not sure whether you should go for Sony speakers. Do not be. It was worth it!
