Review on Salamander by Brandon Ball

Very user friendly with good information

I like how it's very easy to use in terms of interface but also you don't have to be tech savy in order to operate it at all! We've used this software as well as most other apps/software for emergency management in our state for incident response, public hazard assessment, mapping etc so far it's been great! It needs some work on the map itself to make them more customizable to your state's layout (I wish there was a way to add layers to different aspects such as buildings or areas that are open vs closed off). Also when searching specific hazards the search bar is limited. If any agency has questions about using this app or another type please contact me directly I can help out :) Great way to share info quickly during an event from anywhere in the world. Public Hazards Assessments in case things get worse before helping comes along. I like how it is organized into categories, such as fire management system or incident command center, which makes it easier for users who are new to this software to find what they're looking for. It would be nice if there were more options in the different menus of each category (fire station, etc.). We use Salamander at our local fire department to track emergencies in town, including evacuations, road closures, hazardous materials events, and other things that affect public safety.
