Review on ๐Ÿ’จ AC Infinity AIRCOM S10 Quiet Cooling Blower Fan System for Receivers, Amps, DVRs, and AV Cabinet Components - 17 Inch Front Exhaust by Julian Perkins

Revainrating 5 out of 5

When the heat increases, the fan speed increases, when the heat decreases, the fan speed decreases. PERFECT!

After researching various cooling systems for my Marantz receiver, which seemed to want to overheat at higher listening volumes, I purchased an AC Infinity fan to connect to my switchable integrated amplifier. The fan worked fine as a single, but once I turned off the amp and receiver there was a chance I would leave recording on while Zone 2 or 3 continued without my knowledge (Marantz owners will know what I'm doing). . say the white line in the porthole is the ONLY clue if the record is in zone 2/3 and is still on). AIRCOM S10 and the upcoming product AC Infinity in July solve the problem of always needed cooling. The temperature increases, the fan speed increases, when the temperature decreases, when the recording is off, the fan also titrates the speed to turn off. found I had a problem with zone 2/3 shutting down and the recording hit 95 degrees overnight. Not good. So I immediately bought the S10 and found the source of the zone problem, which could NOT be solved with the remote control, was only the record switch on the front panel. I don't really know if the recording was zoned or turned off before I found it. However, if the Zone 2/3 problem reoccurs I will know as the S10 will continue to operate at higher speeds when recording is off (the OFF light is RED but there is a dash in the porthole gauge in the top right corner of the porthole), meaning the Zone amps are still delivering power to the Zone, which doesn't exist because I'm not using amps. Zones (the main disadvantage of Marantz in electronics design). Fan noise is a little loud at top speed, but knowing it's doing the job (I have a digital temp gauge to check fan exhaust), I'm happy with its capabilities. run as needed. The fan only runs at full speed when the recording is running at a higher volume, otherwise it shows speed 3/4, ideal temperature 83 degrees. The tiny display in the S10's porthole shows two lights, Auto and SMART, which stay on. permanently, on or off. A BRIGHT white circle indicates fan speed at 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and full.
