Review on πŸ”¦ Perterson V170A Piranha Amber LED Clearance/Side Marker Light with Reflex: Enhanced Safety and Visibility by Greg Roberts

Bad assembly design. Designed for an open fender, not a closed trailer tongue.

The mount on these mounts consisted of two holes running vertically down the middle. My old flashlights had holes on the sides so they didn't fit my application. They provide a large center mounting stud that is used as a ground. I installed them on the tongue of my boat trailer which doesn't allow me access to the inside of the frame to use the center bolt. This light and bolt would be more useful on a surface where you have access to the back of the mounting surface, e.g. B. on a fender of a trailer. I had to attach a ground wire to the back of one of the mounting bolts that prevents the light from being completely flush with the trailer frame. Also, when disassembling, pay attention to how the backplate attaches to the lantern. I installed one upside down because I didn't understand how they were attached and I had to cut the wires and flip them later. I mounted them on my trailer but I don't think they look good because they don't sit flush with the tongue. . It's probably a matter of time before they get confused. If they are torn down I will replace them with another brand. I wouldn't buy them again if they didn't hang over the fender.
