I have used them on two pairs of shoes for my boys now. For a pair I bought a laceless system but the bottom of the shoe dangled a bit. Adding the lacing halfway made the bottom tighter while the top could be loosened to allow for easy access. The second pair I made just used them. I used the same approach to make the bottom part denser by pasting one of these and it works great. Now the top isn't that good as it doesn't lay flat. It holds up, but I have another set of lace closures that I'm going to use for the upper. Such good quality and I will be using them on backpacks and laceless systems but just can't use them over laces.
