Review on NSF Certified Red CDN TCT572-R ProAccurate Digital Folding Thermocouple Cooking Thermometer - Instant Read by Alma Carter

Works quite well as a thermometer with fairly accurate readings. However, I have had to replace the batteries twice and this is probably the WORST battery case. I barely managed to pry it open with a nasty little screw at the end of the case and I had to arrange 2 button cell batteries in the correct order to carefully slide them back into the compartment. The second time the screw didn't come out of the slot and I broke the slot trying to pull the screw out to change the batteries. By the way, it beeped continuously without display, which I *assumed* to indicate the battery needed replacing. It would be nice if the seller would contact me or even send me a replacement - it's only been a year
