This product looks exactly as it appears, appears to be quite solid after a few weeks. It's super super cute and perfect for a small door. I have a chihuahua terrier and if I put a net on the outside of the door he can push it through. When I secured it, it ended up in a door and door frame that it can't push out. I would say depending on what type of dog you have, like a young Corgi or a very active Frenchie or something, this is not for them. They would have knocked him over. It is definitely intended for small, gentle, reserved dogs and reserved environments.
