Review on πŸ”Š Upgrade Your Kia Spectra: Scosche 2005-Up Speaker Adapter for Front Doors - 5.25” or 6.5” [1 Pair] SAKA656 by Jeffrey Johnston

Fits my 2009 Kia Spectra LX

I bought a Polk DB651, the bracket that came with these speakers didn't fit my car so I'm glad I ordered these adapters. They're perfect for my car, but not for Polk's. I can't blame them for not matching the Polks. I had to use a soldering iron to drill holes in these adapters so I could attach the speakers to these adapters. He got the job done and I was able to set up my speakers perfectly. Note: Removing the door panels from my '09 Spectra was relatively easy. There is a plastic anchor at the top inside (closest to the car when the door is open). Use the Philips and press the middle part and it will pop out. Behind the doorknob is a small cover, pull it out with the smallest flat head you can find, behind are two Philips heads. Remove the armrest from the door panel, gently lift until you can get your fingers underneath and, using some force, pull straight up. Here are two Philips heads. There are two more hidden Philips heads, one on the top outside, one on the bottom outside, only the inner circle shows up. After all of these screws are removed, you need to remove the door anchors from the frame. Gently pry off the outer panel, then pull it toward you until you hear it pop out. Do this around the entire perimeter of the slab. Once free, pull straight up and wiggle out of position. Then disconnect the wiring harnesses inside and you're done. To re-insert, insert the top first, making sure the metal rails are behind the metal door frame.
