Not practical. Too expensive.

Two stars for owning this product for several months. I'm happy to give five stars for the quality! But in the end, the size is totally impractical for the price. Here's why: I use this bucket for the main kitchen scraps of a family of three, and two parents work and the kid is at school. Needless to say we are very busy and there is a mix of quick dinners and full fledged healthy home cooked dinners with lots of cooking in the kitchen. We recycle a lot. We drink beer sometimes. We sometimes have bottled water and never lemonade. We have the usual junk mail that goes straight to the trash. We have coffee grounds that go in the trash every day. Despite everything, we do have a decent amount of daily trash and recycling, but I'd say it's a typical amount of either for a work/school family of three. don't work for us. Its compartments are too small, it's inconvenient to take out the inner cans, and the pockets are expensive and ridiculous, so we bought the regular ones. Any kind of bag is crumpled and strange, so it is difficult to make it work. We decided to put the recycling in a bigger compartment but there was no room for rubbish. If you take out the trash on the small side, you will take out the trash every day. Likewise when changing sides. My husband says the narrow side is perfect for compost but then you have clumsy bags and liner pulls. We started hating that garbage can. Especially since we paid about $140 for it. I'm tired of thinking about the price. However, the quality is really top notch. I recommend that this glass is NOT your main litter, especially if you are three or more people. Spring. hope you have better luck
