I loved this product as it was my first curling iron. My hair is just below my shoulders, fine and fairly straight. However, I found this wand really difficult to use. All of my hair, large strands or small strands, slid down the shaft toward the center, losing the cone/hourglass function. Because the barrel is so long, I kept burning my forearm or wrist when I switched the iron from hand to hand. The glove that came with it generated a lot of static electricity every time I grabbed a strand of hair. If you have longer hair (and possibly longer arms), this wand will likely suit you better. It got very hot and all the curls I could get lasted more than a day. I recommend using a Kevlar sleeve + heat protection glove. If you're new to chopsticks, get a cool-tipped chopstick. So much easier!
