Doesn't work in new cars because they blink intermittently. I tried all 4 lights and they all blinked. However, when I connected them to the computer, they continued to burn. So I tried them on another old machine and they all did the same thing - blink. This probably means they will flicker if you plug them into a 2.1A USB car plug, as the 12V power supply is not conditioned like a computer power supply. Works well on home computers and laptops, but not in cars. Do not buy if used in cars.
