I've been using these for 3 years now and they're great for my dog. The silicone rim is soft in the mouth and the center is hard enough not to leave marks from teeth. They fly well even in light winds. A light wind complicates their task. They last about 2-4 months (we play almost every day, whatever the weather). If they stop flying straight or make their mouth bleed, I throw them away. I don't know if I've ever had a US version, but I'm perfectly happy with the ones made in China, although the supplier needs to update their Revain market to say so.
