Review on PFIFF Classic Adult Tricycle - 24 Inch Wheels, Dark Blue by Matthew Goyette

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Be real careful, read everything, have two people, and be ready for mistakes.

This bike is heavy. I'm 77 years old, and I put it together by myself. I like it a lot. Once I removed the front brake, which was badly installed, it rolls fine. The coaster brake is sufficient. Some of the adjustments are impossible unless you have someone with great eyes. But, you don't find that out until the soft metal around the hex head is stripped. You don't get what you pay for. You have a choice then, drill it out or leave it. The steering is pretty good, even if it can't be adjusted (see above). The seat is only OK. I'm old, I got a bigger one. The center of gravity is a little high for my taste, but you will get used to it. The blurb says you can take it apart to carry it in a car. But, only if you're into pain. It was enough to put the two parts together the first time. The instructions are limited, to say the least; not what you'd expect from a bike this expensive. (And, customer service will laugh at you. ) The three speeds are almost adequate, but then I don't go very fast anyway. I bought this because 7 speeds or 15 speeds are more than I need. Had I known, I would have bought the 7 speed even though it's mounted outside and difficult to service. Three speeds are not easy to find. Customer service is a joke. YouTube is more valuable than being lectured by the person who answers the phone. Buy this at your own risk. If you know someone who can do a derailleur, get that. Try before you buy. And, it's not easy with Ebay.

Pros
  • The PFIFF Classic Adult Tricycle offers a comfortable and stable ride that is ideal for those looking to stay active and mobile
Cons
  • This tricycle is not designed for rough terrain or off-road use. The 24 inch wheels aren't suitable for a variety of terrain, and the bike can't be used for long distance or competitive cycling
