Review on Renewed Samsung Galaxy S7 in Gold - 32GB and Locked to Verizon Wireless by Ha Joon ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not a bad purchase, worth the money.

I have some mixed feelings about the purchase. On the one hand, this is a really great phone. The interface works very smoothly, and the filling of the phone will be relevant in two years (in fact, it was the same with my S5, bought two years ago). But in other way: • responsiveness and the S5 was quite wow • battery life of course on the level, but less than that of the S5 • The screen of the S7 has a higher resolution, but with this screen size I don't really see the difference • the camera in S7 shoots better in low light, but in daylight and S5 shoots very, very well In general, there is a feeling that by switching from S5 to S7 I paid too much and received too little. That's why I gave the phone only a rating of "4".

Pros
  • 1. Performance. This is my first android device from Samsung, in which there are no lags in the interface. The entire set of software I need is installed, encryption is installed, and everything works very smoothly. 2. An excellent camera that adequately shoots in low light conditions. The camera itself starts very quickly. 3. Finds satellites very quickly when navigating. 4. Ability to use two SIM cards. 5. The phone, removed from the charge at 6 am, quietly survives until late in the evening, even without using energy saving. With such a filling, this is a very worthy result. In addition, there is a fast charging mode. 6. Protection against water. A very useful thing. 7. Premium appearance (although the way it is implemented is rather a disadvantage).
Cons
  • I switched to S7 from S5, so I will compare it with my old S5. 1. Price. You need to think hard before buying a phone. In principle, almost everything the same can be obtained on the S5, which costs 3 times cheaper. 2. The body of the phone is covered with glass on both front and back. This is inconvenient and impractical. First, it seems that any fall will ruin the phone. Secondly, the body collects all the prints and is constantly stained. Thirdly, he is slippery and constantly strives to slip out of his hands. On the third day of use, after once again I almost dropped the phone on the pavement, I went to buy a cover ("leather back", including the corners and sides). 3. The speaker is more deaf than it was before on my S5. 4. S5 keeps the battery longer in the same mode of use (but everything was clear at once - the stuffing in S7 is completely different). 5. Work with two SIM cards is inconveniently implemented. Now the SIM card cannot be selected either in the blind or by tapping on the contact photo. Why they changed the approach is not clear. It used to be much more convenient. 6. Again, regular means cannot install 2 SIM cards and a memory card at the same time. It's not a big problem for me, I have enough built-in memory, but it would be better if the slots for sim and memory were separate. 7. From the S-Planner, which I use for a very long time, the "Schedule" view has disappeared. Why it was removed is unclear. 8. Very poor set of widgets out of the box. He used to be much richer. It seems that they were simply not finished to fit the new screen resolution.
