To prevent backflow in a reverse osmosis system.
I bought this to prevent feed water from flowing back into the Ro system. Works as it should. We live in a village and sometimes the electricity goes out. Our well starts at 40psi and closes at 60psi. A reverse osmosis system operates from 20 psi to 40 psi. If the power goes out, the well pressure can drop below 40 psi and the reverse osmosis can reverse. This check valve is just a safety device and provides peace of mind. I would buy this again.
