waist 52 inches here. I took both 2XL and 3XL because I read that they are a bit big. , but both fit about the same. Then when I wrote this review I noticed that both have a separate multilingual tag that says 5XL on the side and both are the same size. Strange! And explains that " is a bit too big. I'm sure I could drawstring them down to 2XL if needed, so I'm sure that's an excuse. and 3xl, not sure. But yes it is a very comfortable pair of shorts to sleep in. Good and light weight.I will take a few more pairs to alternate.
