Review on πŸ“š Duncan Yo-Yo Tricks Book by Vic Alexander

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Why are there so many reviews about the yo-yo and not the book itself?

Yes, the book is small. It doesn't have to be a big book, and you can at least hold it in one hand and use the yo-yo with the other. I think that's why it's small. I only rated it 3 stars because it really doesn't explain some of the tricks very well. The illustrations are not step-by-step instructions, just written instructions, and they're a bit confusing. A step-by-step guide would be very helpful. I reviewed this book for my 8 year old daughter and I don't think she will understand many of the tricks in this book without additional help. They also don't seem to be in any order and some tricks start with doing a trick and adding something so you need to look through the book and find a trick to start with. As I watched some of the tricks on YouTube and followed the written instructions, things became a lot clearer. I really recommend using both resources first until you can follow the book separately and save yourself the confusion. I must add that when I wrote the review, most of the reviews were for the yo-yo, not the book. I don't know if this book was originally sold with a really poor quality yo-yo, or if the wires were reversed when the reviews were written.
