I saved a lot of money by not buying paper napkins. Saves trips to the market, it also helps the environment. If you decide to use tissues instead of paper napkins/serviettes, this is the way to go. When my child goes back to school, I send him tissues. He can use them as napkins or serviettes. Last year the school wanted to do without garbage cans. This meant you had to take home the junk you make (lunchbox). So I bought glasses (no locks), a thermos (no disposable drinks) and now tissues (no paper napkins).
