Not durable at all!

Let me start by saying that I always use Wahl male clippers in my household and the human clippers last for years, are easy to clean and maintain and are of a very high quality. That's why I chose the same brand when we got a new puppy. If I could give zero stars for "durability" I would. I have a Standard Poodle puppy that I take care of at home (and always with different clippers). They worked great when brand new and the second time around. I always clean and lubricate them according to the instructions that come with them and the Wahl website. The third time I used them they got very hot in just a few minutes of cutting (it takes me two 1 hour sessions for a full grooming). I had to constantly cool them down and take breaks. It ended up taking me a whole week to get his hair cut. I cleaned and oiled them as usual before storing them last month. Now I opened them yesterday to groom him this month (I just quickly shaved back to 1/2" and 1/4" lengths). The machine didn't get hot this time, but it ripped through his hair and ruffled the ends. They got stuck in one of his legs and I had to pull them out of his hair, but little by little. I have cleaned and looked at them while they work. Even when fully charged, they no longer move fast enough to actually cut hair. Now I have to spend the money and have my dog get an "emergency haircut" at the dog groomer today. I've kind of frustrated the goal of always caring for my own dogs and trying to save money, especially now that I'm unemployed. πŸ˜•
