Major redesign that restricts the arch of the foot

I am an avid runner and triathlete. A few years ago it took me an hour to try it on before I received my Cinderella: The Levitate shoe. I have tried many pairs and models and have refused to go back to my other trusted brands/models because there was no reason to. I then ordered a Levitate 4.0 to replace one of my 3.0s on a work rotation. I put them on and found TWO HUGE DESIGN DIFFERENCES from previous models: 1. Significant volume reduction under the heel. Even my 300 mile running shoes had even more cushioning. 2. Fully covered tongue about 50% below the laces. In the photos I point to, you can see that the tongue is permanently fused to the shoe all the way down. There is essentially only 1/2 language. And the bottom half doesn't stretch. In another photo, I flipped the tongue at the bottom so you can see where the shoe becomes a one-piece knot. Did I mention THAT doesn't stretch? This is very limiting for my foot as this is where I usually adjust my laces for the right fit and circulation needs depending on how long I run. I took them for a 5 mile run this morning and as soon as I got home my legs started falling asleep. My 2.0 and 3.0 never did, but that was because I could adjust the laces. Very disappointed. ON BEHALF OF RUNNERS EVERYWHERE: IF IT'S NOT BROKEN, DON'T FIX IT! We all want our shoe designs to stay the same, so we keep buying them. But now I have to look for old models or just switch to another brand. Again.

Pros
  • THIS WOMEN'S SHOE FOR: The Levitate 4 is ideal for runners who need a shoe that helps them return energy with every step. Levitate 4's AMP DNA is now 20% lighter, so our maximum energy return foam is better than ever.
