My last laptop didn't have an SD or microSD card slot and my last card reader died after a few years so this article was a must read for me. I like that it has both slots, so the card for my tablet and the card for my camera don't need adapters to use the same reader. The USB-C port means it's future-proof, but it also works with an adapter to work with USB-A ports (adapter not included). No problems reading or writing cards through this reader. Well made and feels solid without being heavy. My only minor gripe is that I wish the cable was a bit longer - it's 6.5 inches from the tip to the reader, and an extra 2 inches would have made it a lot more convenient.
