The manufacturer should develop a simple fastener or fastener that simply closes and holds in place with sandpaper. This hand-knurled screw design is difficult to work with for several reasons: (1) you must carefully cut a slot in the abrasive belt to allow it to exit the screw in the center of the fastener; (2) It's difficult to turn the nut tight enough without pliers to really squeeze the sandpaper tight enough to keep it where you set it. (3) Thumbscrews can become loose during use (that's why I lost a nut). Aside from these issues, it will work very well once set up.
