I bought this to shred newspaper for a vermicompost bin. For that it works very well. The inlet is quite narrow, but folding the paper solves that. Spins well when not overloaded. The handle is detachable but I will glue it. The only annoying thing is that the chopper just sits on top of the container with no clamps. He has to be held tight or he'll slip off. That's why I deducted a star in my rating. Perfect pieces for my worm bed. Much easier than tearing by hand, plus they're thinner than I could make myself so they break faster.
