I really liked this metal ladder. Very durable, the locks open by pushing the bars on either side of the chair. When you're ready to close it, you should grab the small post by the strut and pull up until it's a little loose. Do this on both sides and the stool closes with ease. If you don't, you'll have to be Superman to turn it off. Good for the stickers everyone posts about how hard it is to take them off, yeah. I removed the sticker from the top but it took a lot of effort. I can understand that warning stickers are not easy to remove, but this is not a product description sticker. Come on, Kamko fix it! Overall a good stool (:
