I chose the FRX2 because it can charge cell phones. I can confirm that it charges my iPhone 4s. Remember to turn the dial to the "CELL" position and turn off the radio and flashlight when you want to charge your phone. Charging takes some time/effort, but it works and it's certainly better than not having any charging solutions during emergencies or power outages. I haven't checked the radio but I haven't had any problems with FM or AM reception. and one of the weather channels. The flash isn't bad either. One thing I really wish was a battery level indicator. Otherwise there are no complaints.
