The socks themselves are very nice - very thick and warm and the material is nice to the touch. I agree with the reviewer which seems great but not so much that I feel it's a problem. My biggest complaint was the packaging. I ordered this item as a gift and when they arrived the outside postal envelope was fine. However, when I opened the postal envelope, the product packaging was completely shredded and appeared to have been hit by a vehicle - a forklift perhaps? The box was completely broken and torn in several places, and there was a thick black tire-like stripe on the front of the package. Holes were ripped in the plastic and the black stripe actually made its way to the socks themselves. I would have sent them back but they arrived on Christmas Eve and I needed them the next morning. Luckily they were for my daughter so I was able to wash them and toss them in my bag but if they were for someone else they would be useless. I understand accidents that happen during shipping but this clearly happened before the item was sent to me as the postal envelope was in perfect condition.
