It would be nice if the material of the collar was high quality, but it isn't. It will flower if cut to the right size. Even when I tried to glue the cut end and then tried to melt the cut end, I still couldn't stop it from unraveling. And they designed it so that the collar goes through the box and the box is almost impossible to open. Gathering is even more difficult. My homemade attempt at sealing the end of the cut collar took about a week, but wear and tear from determined puppies unraveled it. Not once but twice I bought this thing and twice the collar came off. Too bad because it works for small dogs. And it humiliated my toy fox terrier until the collar caught the chihuahua's attention. We watch the dogs fairly closely and it only took a few minutes for the collar to come loose and almost became a safety issue.
