Review on 🦎 2-Pack ReptiTherm Under Tank Heater by Zoo Med, Suitable for 30-40 Gallon Tanks by Travis Kjar

The heater works great and has made our gecko much more comfortable. Placed on the warm side of the tank under its large skin. I don't like that it's not self-regulating as it doesn't have a thermostat. Don't worry, Zoomed also has a thermostat (sold separately) that works great. After investigating this particular heater, I decided to place the thermostat sensor between the heater and the glass bottom of the tank. This does not provide a good and tight thermal fit to the glass. To seal the edges and reflect most of the heat to the tank I completely covered the heater with high temp reflective tape (which is used for restraints). Sounds like a lot of extra work for something that should just stick to the bottom of the tank, but I think it's the best option for my reptile. I chose this Zoomed heater based on many other reviews and YouTube videos. Overall, I have already bought these again and will continue to use them.
