I recently heard about low temperature heat sensitive plastic beads and my brain exploded with ideas. With just hot water and a handful of these things, the possibilities are almost endless. I was so excited I decided to skip the small amount and went for the Β£5 bag because I was pretty sure I would love it. When it arrived I immediately tore it apart and started fumbling. In a bowl of water at 150F, they will become soft and pliable; looks a lot like stupid putty. Just give it the shape you want, or even something close that can be further enhanced or edited with tools. Place in a mold to create repeating parts or use to make molds for other materials as the chilled product is extremely durable. And one of the best features is that the excess material can be reused by reheating it. I still have a lot of experimenting to do including painting the final parts, coloring the plastic when it's soft, and making more complex parts by gluing multiple parts together. I even bought a hot plate to keep the water warm so I don't have to constantly reheat it in the microwave.
