Some luck, but overall not bad. several copies of NES emulators, and while they were fun to play with, they were all a bit clunky. unpolished. The same applies here. First, and this applies to all these emulators, despite being equipped with an absurd number of games - 9,000 in this case - there are tons of duplicates, some barely working and some just winning. doesn't load at all. In this case, for example, I see about two dozen different versions of Tetris. All the games I've tested so far have been playable, but frustrating at times. Oddly enough, Crash Bandicoot 2 is in Portuguese. It doesn't affect gameplay, but it's a little tedious to watch the cutscenes if you don't speak Portuguese. Second, the console's design can be a bit disappointing. The box has no physical buttons. It turns on the moment you plug it in and if you want to reset it you have to disable it (I've seen a key combination that should trigger a reset described on screen but that doesn't usually work for me) . Games are stored on the USB stick that comes with the console, so while gameplay is fairly smooth, loading times can be long. Both problems would be easy to solve. Internal storage cuts loading times, and a few buttons make managing the console a lot easier. It smacks of cost reduction through ease of use. Now for the good. I haven't come across a game that doesn't work. Most of the ones I've played are decent emulations and crashes haven't been an issue yet. The inclusion of two wireless controllers - replicas of the classic Playstation controller - is a nice touch. They look a bit cheap, but are quite useful. I'm not sure if a high quality 3rd party controller can be connected, but I'll investigate that in the future. Finally, the way the games are organized is very well thought out. My old Pandora box only had an alphabetical list which was almost useless, but this one has games organized by console. You still have to go through quite a long list (or use the search function), but it's much more convenient than my previous emulators. Overall, I'd say this thing is worth checking out if you're into classic games. It's not the highest quality emulator I can imagine and there are a few aspects that bother me, but it works well enough and the games are good. I can recommend it.
