The product is basically a piece of cheap junk plastic, but if you ditch the clips and mount you end up with an almost flat panel with an attached ball mount that fits into the Garmin's port. You can drill, screw and glue as you see fit. The way it was made is a disaster and won't stay in place for more than a few miles. I ended up zip tying it to the vent and now my Garmin is where I want it and off the ground.
