I bought 2 pieces for my daughters who like to draw in applications. They enjoy designing clothes and making cartoons. They had trouble using other types of stylus that aren't as good, so I looked around for other stylus pens. I bought one for my husband which they used and enjoyed but found a few things they didn't like. I wanted them different, but I chose both. One daughter had no problems, the other had problems with the protective film being scratched. We decided it was either the type of protective film or its thickness. The scratched one looked more like glass and was shiny. The other is darker and looks more like plastic. I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING THIS WITHOUT A SCREEN PROTECTOR and you may find that some screen protectors will scratch and some will not. Scratches occur where the tip meets another part of the pen. If they could make this one part, it could help reduce this problem, but the moment two parts meet, some types of screens could get scratched. I've shown my daughter that there's no harm in always writing a certain way, but she doesn't write that way and doesn't want to change (who would?).
