I use a Microsoft Surface tablet, there were two different video converters in the bag. Switching to this converter means less stuff in my pocket. Works great so far and at a good price. I've only used StarTech's HDMI converter, which stopped working after a few months. It's hard to say if quality issues will be present with all StartTech items, but in my experience you can expect these items to have a shorter lifespan than you would like. We ordered extra equipment from the office so we could quickly replace them - but it's a real challenge to show up at a client's only to find you can't connect to the projector - and carrying backups around in a bag is impractical.
