Fairly easy to clean in the dishwasher. Or wipe. Will of course hold multiple items depending on the type of item and its width. It doesn't take up too much space and saves you the mess of cleaning the countertop next to the stove. Because it is a soft silicone, it cannot be used like stovetop cooking. This is meant to be away from the stove and on the countertop for a few utensils. I think it can actually fit two items at a time, not until the items are very thin next to each other. This is useful so you don't have to have multiple utensil holders when cooking. Cleaning is easy and has survived the dishwasher. I would recommend this item.
