My picky son hates hiking boots but needed more support and support than his regular shoes to satisfy our new love of hiking. I got the pink one for my daughter. As they are still growing I didn't want to buy more expensive shoes and only be able to wear them this season. It was perfect! I ordered the same shoe size as his regular sneakers. He said they are comfortable considering we did a 9 mile walk provided a lot more support and I love that it's just these type of cord closures so he doesn't have to fiddle with his laces had to fiddle around. They got very dusty during one of our trips, but I was able to run them under water very quickly and just dry them in the sun. I would recommend.
