Now I have two of them. They carry local FM channels very well, allowing my stereo to sync to the station. I haven't had any luck with AM, but I don't really use AM (the antenna is very close to the window air conditioner, which creates a lot of electrical noise). Antenna placement is very important - I have a steel roof. So I mount them in the window. Rotating them in a different direction can also make a difference if you have nearby buildings that cause clutter and reflections. My ONLY complaints are that I wish they had longer connecting cables. 6ft is too small to get good window access in many places and a 300 ohm adapter. You can add extension cords yourself, but they should only be with longer wires. 10 feet would be ideal. Also, I had to buy a separate adapter to go from 75 ohms to 300 ohms for the FM connection - they should just include a $1 (or less) adapter in the box. One star deduction for these complaints.
