I really liked this scale as long as it lasted. I used it to weigh food in the kitchen which helped a lot with counting calories. I've been using this scale up to twice a day or more for a year. I also used them to weigh my cat because they were more accurate than a bathroom scale (which couldn't get a reading). These scales worked very well at the time they worked. They recently stopped working with that. I connected the scale and all I got was an error. I have always used an AC adapter so I checked the voltage coming through the AC adapter and found there is no problem with the adapter. Tried batteries, doesn't work either. I disassembled the scale, found a rusted copper tip, polished it, put it all back together, still nothing. I then checked every internal electrical connection I could get my hands on, but found nothing obvious that could be causing the problem. I gave up trying to fix it. I think something like this should last at least 5 years, I've had bathroom scales that lasted much longer before the calibration got pushed to the point where it's worth just buying a new one. I don't think I'll get another one of these, the lemon reviews are more up to date than when I bought mine and mine has the exact same problem, the only difference is that it took a few years for mine to give up .
