Review on πŸ“ High Visibility Measuring Tape: Lufkin L616 - 4 Inch x 16 Feet by Jeremy Black

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Tape is held on the thin end

So I use this tape daily for starters but only a few times a day for basic <5 foot measurements. I've been using it for about 6 months. I also had a large number of tape measures from different manufacturers, but no less than 10 feet. Pros: The case is solid, I dropped it several times but the plastic didn't crack. The size fits perfectly in the hand, very nice and it's quite light. The clasp works great, never slips. Cons: Sometimes the spring winding doesn't retract the ribbon and I have to constantly pull it back and forth before it retracts, not so much. The biggest problem is that the end is bent and even though it's metal I can't bend it back, it's not kinked, it's more bent so it's not straight anymore. It gets extremely annoying when I have to hook the end onto something to pull the tape towards me, or when I'm measuring vertically and it's difficult to measure accurately. This weak end keeps me from recommending this band despite its price unless you take measurements very infrequently.
