performance at an affordable price.

Thermal paste is thermal paste, right? nope Of course, you can get stuff that costs well over $10 a gram, and there's stuff that costs less than 10 cents a gram, but there are differences that go way beyond price - and that's thermal conductivity. The default measurement is watts per meter Kelvin, or W/mK. Look for a number for these lesser-known brands. The simplest varieties yield 1W-2W. Some of the cheaper ones are in the 3-4W range. The best of them, 11+. This is a mid-range thermal compound with a claimed 6.5W output. How does it work? Well, I don't have many different pastes to test, but this one is definitely better than the basic thermal paste pack that came with one of my used CPUs. Running Prime95 and stock Intel cooler on a Xeon 69w processor: base paste - 65 degrees. With this HY-883: 60 degrees. Undoubtedly, the difference will be even greater with more powerful processors or less ventilated computer cases. No complaints about this temperature drop. This is the best? I doubt it, but getting 4 grams of paste at a cheaper price compared to 1 gram of branded thermal paste makes it a bargain. The numbers are good enough and unless there are performance issues in the future I'll give it 5 stars.
