I washed my duvet in the tub with this soap and an Oxiclean tablet (probably not recommended but I've had to remove body oil from the fabric for years). It was too dirty to put on my bed and now it looks almost new. at least 90% improvement! The process even filled in all the squares. I should have tried this before spending over $200 on a new comforter! I started in the morning on a hot day. The washing step involved brushing the edges by hand and kicking them up with your feet! After washing, I rinsed it until I couldn't get the suds off. I put it in the washing machine, wring it out to get rid of the extra moisture, then put it on a clothesline like an umbrella for the day to get rid of more moisture. Finally I put it in the dryer for maybe 4 cycles to make sure it was completely dry. It is helpful to have a shower curtain or a very large plastic bag to move the wet blanket around as it is very heavy and filled with water after the washing step.
