I chose this model because I thought it would hold our GPS unit securely while still being able to see and use the GPS unit while on the go. It actually worked wonderfully. There can be a lot of glare making it hard to see at times, but with the GPS volume turned all the way up I can hear the GPS when the city speed is slow. It's also nice to store quick-access items like water, snacks, Leatherman, and small jacket liners. This item is well made. The lower part is made of a soft, almost rubbery material that won't scratch the paintwork. There are lots of really strong magnets that keep this going while you ride. It takes a little effort to remove the bag, so I'm not afraid of it falling off. A note about magnets is that the bottom underneath the compartment has magnets, so keep those magnet-sensitive items away. (USB sticks, debit/credit cards, etc.) The zippers are strong. I would recommend this to GPS users, map users or anyone just looking for a little more space. If you hide water in it and it's sunny outside, it gets very hot :) I haven't tested it in the rain.
